We have every confidence that all the products that you buy from us are of the highest quality and as such we offer a 12 month warranty on all products, this is in addition to a 5 year guarantee on the frame (excluding recliners). The 12-month warranty begins from the date of the delivery, as signed on your Proof of Delivery from the carriers, proof of this may be required when claiming during that period.
The 12-month warranty protects you from any manufacturer damage or defects that occur during this period. Please note that this does not cover you for any accidental or customer damage.
In the unlikely event of damage occurring to your purchased furniture during the 12 month warranty period, we will endeavor to do everything possible to return your purchased furniture to the condition as it should be. We have teamed up with a nationwide independent specialist furniture repair company to offer a fantastic and quick repair service.
We ask you to contact us and inform us of the damage, we will take some details and then book you in for a repair visit. The repair team will do their best to fix the furniture at the first visit. In some cases however, a second visit and/or replacement pieces may be needed to fully complete the repair. Please note that this repair is guaranteed for a further 12 months.
We make every effort to ensure that the repair is handled as swiftly as possible but there may be some delay in obtaining replacement parts so we do ask for your patience during this time.
Please note that under the strict terms of our warranty, if the repair team concludes that the damage to the furniture is as a result of accidental or customer damage, you will be liable for the cost of the report and/or any repair that is completed or due to be completed. Similarly, if there is a missed appointment (without failing to notify the technician) or the technician concludes that there is no fault, you will be liable for the cost of the visit. If you are unsure as to the cause of the damage please contact the office and we will advise you on the best course of action. The repair team does take into consideration the length of time that you have had the new furniture before concluding as to the cause of the damage.
By agreeing to a visit from the repair team you accept that these costs may be claimed back from you if it is concluded that the damage was due to accidental or customer use.
If you new furniture is out of warranty but you do require a repair this can be arranged through our office at a cost to be agreed with the repair company.
We would like you to feel every confidence in buying from us and so are prepared to accept the return of any purchase from stock that you are not happy with, as long as you inform us, in writing, within 7 days of the receipt of your product.
We do however retain the delivery element of the purchase and charge a collection fee equal to the delivery to contribute to the cost of the return*. The collection fee is halved if the carriers are informed before leaving so they can take the order back and dispense with a return visit*. If a return visit is required to collect the goods then this will be a ‘one-man’ collection and assistance may be required from the customer.
This guarantee applies to our stock and ex-display models and not items that are made-to-order.
We will of course accept the return of any sofa, whether from stock or made-to-order if there is a significant fault on arrival or if the sofas received are not as ordered. There will be no charge for the return and a full refund will be made including the original cost of delivery. The furniture not fitting into the premises is not grounds for a return, please confirm measurements before placing the order. Collection will be on a one-man basis as above.
Any refund will be processed 7 working days after the goods have been successfully collected and returned to Premium Discount Sofas.
*Please note that there are times when we do a promotion and offer free shipping, during these times the return and collection charges will be charged at the standard rate as appears on our Deliveries page. The delivery element of the purchase will, in these cases, revert to the standard charges.
